Hello, my name is Douglas Ford and I am currently the Chairman for the Michigan Technology Network – Greater Flint. I would like to say how excited our group is to help host this event. So many people will have invested their time, and money to make this happen, now all we need is you!

In less than 15 hours our event is going to start. We’ve done our best to provide a high quality, exciting event for you. We’ve reserved Flint’s newest renovated event Center. This center has been wired by professional electricians just for this party. The game playing area is huge, in height, length and width. The Riverfront boasts 5 huge screens and brand new video equipment. Even the entryway features 3 very large flat panel screens on the wall.

Looking to engage in a friendly competition while also helping a local charity?

Those looking at the tournament schedule probably noticed the Wii Bowling Charity Tournament. This tournament will start at 10pm and will have room for 32 players.
Entry to the tournament will start at $5. The tournament will use a bidding system to encourage donations. If you would like to participate in this tournament simply stop by the table (there will be signs).

No tournament is complete without prizes. A $50 Best Buy gift card has been confirmed for the winner with the possibility of other prizes TBA.

100% of the money earned from this tournament will go directly to the Old Newsboys of Flint. The goal is to use gaming to help children in need this holiday season. Every $20 they get is enough to sponsor a child in the holiday box program.

Many of the Flint LAN attendees have been wondering how do prizes work? We are proud to announce a prize system that allows you to PICK THE PRIZE YOU WANT!!!!

Here is how it works:

All the prizes are pooled on a table and you can pick the one you want.

ELITE WINNERS:

If you win 1’st place at the following tournaments: You will get 1^st round draft pick of the prizes. We will draw from a hat with the other Elite winners to determine who picks first.

We went shopping for power cords for the event. We will have 13 amps per run, with 2x2aoutlets per person. I am expecting 400+ people The cart was weighed down by all of the copper.
